Greece Trip

Opa! Mr. Delaney is heading to Greece and he wants you to go with him! There will be an informational meeting in the PAC at 630 tomorrow night for those interested in learning about the trip. A parent MUST attend the meeting. Stop by room A-118 for more information. It's time to see where the Olympic games, modern medicine, and democracy were born.  Remember, you don’t have to be a student of Mr. Delaney to go on this trip…any student is welcome.

National PTA Reflections

National PTA’s Reflections program is an acclaimed student recognition experience that encourages artistic creativity and supports students in exploring their thoughts, feelings, and ideas through their art pieces.

This year, students in our school supported by our CMM PTSA  participated in and explored the arts based on the theme, “I Am Hopeful Because…”. We are pleased to announce the judges have selected three of our very own students as outstanding submissions! LAPTA has advanced those entries to the National PTA for judging. National PTA will announce their results on May 1, 2024. Congratulations to the following 2023 -2024 State Winners: Belle St. Amant  for Literature with the essay “When Hope is All You Have.’   Avika Khandelwal for Visual Arts entry “Roots of Resilience: Overcoming Addiction.”   Jackson Welch’s photograph  “Bright Idea”  and finally, Avika Khandelwal  for her Dance Choreography “Empowerment Through Dance.”

These students will represent the state of Louisiana in the National PTSA Reflections—way to go, Belle, Avika, and Jackson.

More accolades from the PTSA Reflections Contest include Gage Smith's Award of Excellence in Photography for “Flower on the Mountain,” the Award of Merit for his photograph “Reflections,” and the Award of Excellence for his musical composition “Out of the Darkness.”
